-In No. (2) Operation Area of the People’s Defence Force, Bago Regional Command continued to attack the junta armed forces in Phyuu, Tandabin, Minhla and Paungty townships as a subsequence of the Sittaung Basin Aung Myin Operation on Sunday. Reportedly, there were casualties among the junta members.
-In Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, the revolution forces raided the camp of Pyusawti Militia in Kyaukpan Village. Reportedly, 2 junta members died.
-According to Thayet District Force, there were attacks on the junta security camps in Hsin Paungwe Township of Magway Region and on Yangon-Mandalay Road Section (1). Reportedly, 8 junta soldiers died and 3 guns were confiscated along with ammunitions.
-In Kyungsu Township of Tanintharyi Region, there was an attack on a local camp of Pyusawti Militia. According to Myeik District PDF (1), there were casualties among the junta members and weapons were confiscated.
Revolution Activities
-In Sagaing Region, local strike committees and the public protested against the military dictatorship and the junta’s election on January 11.
-In Lewe Township of Nay Pyi Taw, a revolution force attacked the junta’s inspection gate in Aung Chan Thar Village.
-In Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, Hla Thaung, a former soldier and the junta’s administrator of Myoma Ward (1) in Pyundaza, was shot dead in his house.
-In Gyobinkauk Township of Bago Region, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing on the neighbourhood of the pagoda in Aye Ywar Lay Village without any local battles.
-In Magway Region, Zaw Min Naing, Kamma Township Administrator, was shot dead on his way back after inspecting the local polling stations on Sunday.
-Along with a gun, a conscripted soldier from the junta’s Ka-La-Ya (283) in Kyarin Seikgyi Township of Karen State defected to Phoenix – Special Warfare Force.
-In Gantgaw, Magway Region, the Union Solidarity and Development Party won automatically without any competitor in town. However, the junta carried out the election for show. Therefore, the revolution forces conducted attacks via heavy weapons and drones on the junta armed forces including Ka-La-Ya (50). Reportedly, no fewer than 6 junta soldiers, including a captain, were injured.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
-According to Chin National Organization/ Chin National Defence Force, the junta army bombed the 4th hospital in Falam Township of Chin State.
-In an area under the control of Ta’ang National Liberation Army, the TNLA conducted the graduation of Batch (5), including 122 captains.
-According to the TNLA, they managed to sign a ceasefire with the military junta on October 28, 2025, via the negotiation of China. Consequently, there was no gunfire on the 63rd Ta’ang National Revolution Day and the public in Ta’ang areas were free from heavy artillery and aerial assaults.
-To preserve fish and other water resources, including whales and sharks, in Rakhine State, the Arakan Army set rules and regulations.
-In Tanintharyi Township under Karen National Union (Myeik-Dawei District), 3 junta soldiers defected to Karen National Liberation Army.
-In Yay Township and Mudone Township of Mon State, there were attacks via rockets and drones on 5 junta camps to express objection to the junta’s sham election. According to New Mon State Party Anti-Dictatorship Ramonnya Mon Army, 4 junta soldiers including an officer died.
The Military Commission
-U Tin Aung San, the Chair of the junta’s Electricity and Energy Development Commission, said that hydropower is the most cost-effective and it is necessary to implement the Ayeyarwady Myitsone Dam Hydropower Project in Kachin State.
-The military junta stated that online scams and narcotic substance production sites had been identified in Hsipaw Township and Moeye Township of Northern Shan State. They added that the members of Shan State Progressive Party/ Shan State Army, involved in those activities, had been caught.
-In Maiphyat Township in Eastern Shan State, 17,550 voters cast their votes in the second phase of the election, according to Township Election Sub-Commission.
-Yangon-Mandalay train service, suspended due to local battles in Tawgywe-In and neighbourhood, resumed on January 11.
-The junta’s Labour Department issued procedures for the holders of the Overseas Worker Identification Card. Reportedly, the workers going abroad have been stuck at the airport due to the new procedure.
-U Nyo Saw, the junta’s Prime Minister, won the second-phase election in Cocokyun Township of Yangon Region.
-For the junta’s third-phase election, 1,300 polling stations will be opened in 17 townships of Yangon Region.
