A member of the Thaksin-backed Pheu Thai political party said government officials and red-shirt supporters will head to Burma as individuals to meet with Thaksin.

Burma and the Thai government are now engaged in an effort to build out the infrastructure projects on the Dawi deep-sea port and economic zone.

The official did not explain the purpose of Thaksin's trip to Burma.
