Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Car show to offer installment purchases

A four-day 2012 car show will be held at the Myanmar Convention Center on Sept. 6-9 to offer direct deals between customers, manufacturers and banks.

The event will offer customers three types of products – automobiles, housing and living products. Deals include paying 20 per cent of the original value of the items through an installment payment system.

The event, the first of its kind in Burma, offers banks, customers and manufacturers an opportunity to connect, said organizers.

Meanwhile, a total of 57 car showrooms operate in Rangoon, Mandalay and Naypyitaw, according to reports.

The number of registered motor vehicles operating in Burma numbered 2.37 million as of May 2012, including 1.96 million motorcycles, 270,157 passenger cars, 68,376 trucks and 19,349 buses, according to the road transport administration.
