Speaking to Mizzima by telephone, the revered fortune-teller said, “The general election will be in 2015, but according to my calculations, Suu Kyi may be appointed to a presidential post—either as President or Vice-President—as early as July 12, 2014.

“In all likelihood, she may be appointed as President of an interim government,” San Zarni Bo said.

He said that according to astrological signs, a woman will become the leader of Burma—one who is already active in the political arena.

“It will not be a woman from another field,” he said. “She will be from the current group of women politicians. And I’m certain she will be a great person, a great leader who possesses genuine leadership qualities.”

As for the current President, Thein Sein, the astrologer said, “The President will not die any time soon. He might even contest the next general election.”

San Zarni Bo went on to say that his could not see any likelihood of a coup d’état or an invasion by a foreign power. However, peace would not come to Burma before June 2014, he stated.
