Burma’s Vice-President Sai Mauk Kham received a delegation led by the Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General (UNSG) Vijay Nambiar in Naypyitaw on Tuesday.

The President's Office released a report on Wednesday revealing that the two sides had discussed: long-term assistance in education and health; humanitarian aid to and stability in Rakhine State; Al Jazeera’s controversial broadcast accusing Burmese authorities of a genocidal policy against the Rohingyas; the various peace processes; citizenship issues; and the government’s ongoing cooperation with international organizations.

Nambiar previously visited Burma in September 2012.
