The National Unity Government (NUG)
- In Sagaing Region, a woman comrade serving Yinmabin District Battalion (20) claims she had been sexually assaulted. Regarding it, the NUG stated that the commander, the second commander and the suspects were detained and investigated. They added that they would try their best to uncover the truth.
- On Thursday, Tamu District Command announced that the People’s Defence Forces in Tamu District of Sagaing Region had been each provided with a car for logistics.
- In Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region, the revolution forces conducted two attacks at close range on 2 junta troop contingents invading Ngathayauk Area. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among the junta soldiers.
- In a liberated area, the NUG met with the Interim Government of the Sagaing Federal Unit on Tuesday. Reportedly, they were able to reach an agreement on 9 points for Division of Competency.
- In Tigyaint Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army carried out aerial attacks for three consecutive days. According to Local People’s Administration Team, 6 monks lost their lives and so did 6 other people.
Revolution Activities
- In Shwebo District of Sagaing Region, the S & C Organization has been digging wells so that the displaced people and local residents do not face water shortage in summer.
- The Chief Minister of Mizoram State in India Lalduhoma stated that the areas under Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project-KMMTTP are under the control of the Arakan Army.
- In Yesagyo Township of Magway Region, the revolution forces attacked the junta troop from Regiment (99) invading the area. As the junta army has continued their invasion, thousands of villagers have had to flee.
- In Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, the junta armed forces raided local villages along the river banks on Wednesday. Reportedly, they also set fire to people’s houses and displaced people’s huts.
- In Pakkoku Township of Magway Region, there was a rocket attack on Western Bonekan Village of Pyusawti Militia. Reportedly, the junta’s stations were hit, causing casualties among the junta members.
- In Wetlet Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army reportedly killed Daw Bainma, a woman aged 50, by burning her alive. They also set ablaze 2 local villages.
- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) stated that the households in Myanmar, which had been displaced due to local conflicts, were frequently forced to make impossible choices for their survival.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
- In Shwe Kyin (Sawti) Township under Karen National Union, the junta army conducted attacks via paramotors. According to the KNU (Central), 6 people including children lost their lives and 4 others were injured.
- In Hakha of Chin State, local CDF attacked the junta’s police disturbing the public and demanding money.
- In Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, a combination of revolution forces managed to seize the junta’s Winwa Camp on Wednesday afternoon after attacks for more than a month.
- In Kyaukme Township of Northern Shan State, the junta army arrested members of the public and ill-treated them with knife wounds after local battles, according to the Shan State Progressive Party- SSPP Info.
The Military Commission
- In Ann Township of Rakhine State, the military junta carried out an aerial bombing on the detention camp of war prisoners in Darletchaung Area. According to a prisoner of war Brigadier General Thaung Tun, senior officers including Brigadier General Myint Shwe and colonels died in the incident.
- The junta’s Ministry of Energy stated that fuel stations would use a QR system to check purchases and prevent vehicles from buying fuel many times a day at different stations. This new measure is meant to monitor fuel sales to prevent shortages and ensure that people who truly need fuel can buy it easily.
- The junta’s Yangon City Development Committee has been setting up a pandal in front of the City Hall for Thingyan.
- On Wednesday evening, the teams from the junta’s departments educated vehicles regarding the even/odd system.
- Myanmar and Sri Lanka discussed economic cooperation and investment promotion between the two countries.
- According to the junta’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, the Maha Mangala Grand Ceremony commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Completion of Chaṭṭha Saṅgāyanā (the Sixth Buddhist Synod) will be organized in May.
- The junta’s Union Minister for Transport and Communications inspected the construction of the Battery Electric Multiple Units (BEMU), the Battery Electric Locomotive (BEL), and the battery carriages at the Naypyidaw New Locomotive Assembly and Manufacturing Factory of Myanma Railways.
- The junta’s Minister of Health claimed that blood sugar and fat levels in Myanmar had increased, posing more risks from obesity.
- A forum will be held in Naypyidaw on March 13 and 14, along with the MPs elected in the junta’s 2025 election.
