Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Business investment summit scheduled for July

A July business summit to provide information on investment in Burma, Into Myanmar: Agri Trade, Investments & Infrastructure Global Summit 2012 will be held in Rangoon on July  25 -26 with speakers including government officials and experts in the field.

The agricultural sector in Burma is one of the hot areas for foreign investors to tap, especially as Burma seeks to upgrade, add value and regain her pre-eminence in the world's agricultural markets, once occupying the No. 1 position as the largest rice exporter in the world in the 1960s.

The conference speakers will bring include experts in Burma’s rice, pulses, edible oil, seeds, sugar, rubber, fertilizer, farm equipment & other agricultural sectors, in addition to bankers, traders, infrastructure players, and senior government decision-makers, who will interact with some of the world's foremost investors, traders, buyers and agricultural companies.
