The National Unity Government (NUG)
- In Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, the junta army killed their hostages in Yedwingone Village. They also took away the jewelry and money belonging to the victims and the public, according to the press conference of the NUG on Saturday.
- The NUG stated that they would try their best to bring justice to each and every victim of the junta army.
- According to data from the NUG, the junta army committed 10 cases of massacre from March 1 to 10, including the ones in Nyaunglebin Township. Reportedly, 245 people lost their lives in these incidents.
- Ministry of Social, Labour and Humanitarian Affairs-NUG stated that a relatively strong earthquake with Richter Scale 4.6 had hit near Namsam of Shan State.
- In Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, the junta armed forces had stationed at Winwa Camp in Mindat Village on No. (8) Dawei-Myeik Road for over 30 years. Reportedly, the revolution forces seized control over it at 4:00 pm on March 11. Regarding it, Dawei District People’s Defence Force (2) T5 Wings released a video.
- Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun asserted that Myanmar is at risk of losing an entire generation.
- In Magway Region, Pauk Township PDF sent a congratulatory statement for the establishment of the Magway Federal Unit Government.
- Tamu District PDF (2) honoured the 499th Shanni National Day, which fell on Friday.
Revolution Activities
- In the south of Myawaddy in Karen State, the military junta carried out a drone attack on an IDP camp near Falule Village beside Thaungyin River on the Thai-Myanmar border on Saturday morning. Reportedly, there were casualties in the incident.
- On March 13, the 38th year of the incident in which Ko Phone Maw and Ko Soe Naing, students of the Rangoon Technological Institute, had lost their lives, Myanmar activists in the United States protested at the front of the embassy against the junta’s inhumane activities.
- At the 61st conference of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) called for a comprehensive ban of weapons against Myanmar military junta and offered a presentation about the situation of human rights in Myanmar, calling for action from the International Criminal Court as soon as possible.
- The UN Special Envoy on the Human Rights in Myanmar warned that armed conflicts in the Middle East could worsen the ongoing crises in Myanmar.
- At the United Nations, Italy condemned the junta’s systematic violations of human rights in Myanmar.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
- On the International Day of Action for Rivers, local people along the Salween River in the areas under the control of Karen National Union, and Karen Rivers Watch consisting of environmental activists called to protect humanity by preserving rivers.
- In Chin State, the junta army bombed Falam Town. Consequently, the Chin National Army lost 3 members, including a captain, in the incident.
- In Kutkhine seized by Ta’ang National Liberation Army during the Operation 1027 in Northern Shan State, there was a local battle between the TNLA and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army on Saturday.
- In Falu Area under the control of the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army (DKBA) which has conflict with the military junta, the junta’s heavy weapons landed on the compound of a Kyar Phyant scam centre. Reportedly, scammers have been escaping from the area.
- In Ann Township of Rakhine State, 2 conscripted soldiers from the junta army, along with weapons, defected to CDF Asho.
The Military Commission
- The junta’s plan for the sale of fuel via QR Code has received harsh criticism online. Regarding it, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing responded that criticizers just try to find fault.
- Rumour has it that Min Aung Hlaing will retire from the position of the Commander in Chief prior to the establishment of so-called government. At that time, the junta leader reviewed his activities for the army over the period of 15 years as the Commander in Chief, in Naypyidaw. He also expressed thanks to the Deputy Commander in Chief Soe Win, who had joined hands with him in harmony.
- The junta leader said that the Caustic Soda Factory Project implemented by the army had to be cancelled due to the objections of the U Thein Sein Government and the National League for Democracy Government led by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. He added that it had caused a loss of 20 million USD.
- The junta leader claimed that there had been illegal extraction activities of gold, minerals and timber in Kachin, Chin, Sagaing, Shan, Kayah and Karen State under the excuse of political instability. He added that gates had been opened in those areas, people had been arrested and money had been demanded.
- The junta army officers hosted a lunch to honour the junta soldiers who had gained victory in the battle to regain Dagaung in Mandalay Region. They also rewarded them with cash.
- The junta’s Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation said that 21761.418 lakh MMK, out of the fishery research funds worth 57633.582 lakh MMK, had been allocated to research activities.
