Spring Revolution Daily News for 13 February 2026

The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • In Kantbalu Township of Sagaing Region, the revolution forces seized 4 junta camps. According to No. (1) Regional Command, 96 junta soldiers died and 101 others were caught as prisoners of war. 
  • On the 78th Karen National Day, the NUG sent a statement that the sacrifices and cooperation of Karen leaders and comrades play a vital role in the victory of the Spring Revolution
  • The Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La called on all the ethnic leaders to uproot the military dictatorship and build a new union with unity. 
  • Myanmar Federal Democratic Mission Coalition (MFDMC) provided bullet-proof vests to Yinmabin District People’s Defence Force (6) in Sagaing Region. 
  • In Kawlin Township of Sagaing Region, there was an attack at a troop contingent of more than 200 junta soldiers in Thayet Konegyway Village. Reportedly, there were casualties among many junta members whereas 2 PDF members lost their lives. 
  • In Yangon Region, there was a mine attack at Shwe Pokkan Police Station, according to Yangon Regional Western District PDF. 
  • In Dibeyin Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army carried out an airstrike via fighter jet on Bottan Village without any battle. Reportedly, houses were burnt down. 

Revolution Activities 

  • In Myaung Township and Dibeyin Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted aerial attacks. Reportedly, 3 local people were injured and 13 houses were damaged. 
  • In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, junta troops invading the area shot dead 4 civilians. There has also been ongoing fighting near Hpapun Strategic Force in Karen State. 
  • On the 79th Union Day, the Philippines, the rotating Chair of the ASEAN, stated that they look forward to the release of more political prisoners with the true spirit of national reconciliation. 
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army on mobile patrol. Reportedly, there might have been casualties. 

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) 

  • On the 79th Panglong Agreement Day, Chin National Front stated that a system free from the army would be established in the future politics of Myanmar. 
  • In Thayet Chaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, there was an attack on the junta army. According to Karen National Union, 9 junta soldiers died. 
  • In Kokang Special Area (1) of Northern Shan State, the Military Chief of Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army told officers not to get involved in narcotic drugs or Kyar Phyant online scams. 
  • In the annual report for 2025, Karenni State Consultative Council stated that they would cooperate with the Federal Steering Council for union-level transformation of politics and administration. 
  • The Northern Shan State Defence Force/ Karenni Nationalities Defence Force Battalion (102) conducted an event to assign tasks. 
  • After reports came out that dangerous levels of poisonous pollutants were found in Salween River in Karenni State, the Interim Executive Council stated that they would systematically supervise mining activities. 

The Military Commission 

  • On the 79th Union Day, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing stated that they invite reconciliation discussions by political means and always open the door of peace. 
  • The junta leader said that without relying on external support, a modern defence system would be built based on local forces inclusive of the entire public for defence and security of the nation. 
  • The junta leader said that the entire public are required to stand with the government and the military, and protect the Motherland. 
  • The military junta reportedly finalized discussion to adopt Myanmar Passport Act (Bill) to resolve the shortcomings of the existing law. 
  • In Yankin Township and Kyauktan Township of Yangon Region, voter lists, ballot papers, documents and records of the 2020 General Election were set ablaze. 
  • On the 79th Union Day, there were departmental booths along with a sale fair including over 350 MSME shops at the People’s Park in Yangon Region.
