Chaing Mai (Mizzima)- In another auction of state-owned properties in just over a week the military junta will auction 38 buildings and land confiscated by the state on September 31.

The buildings, which are going to be auctioned, have been asked to be sold by the Economic and Trading Ministry. The auction will be led by the National Plan and Economic Development Ministry and will be held in Office 32 of Managing Committee on the Properties Confiscated By State. The forms will be sold at National Record Chronical Headquarter, No. 114, Union Avenue Street, Yangon.

“The forms will be sold from September 1. We have advertised in the newspaper to make people aware. All disciplines will be in the form,” a source from the Administrative Committee in Naypyidaw told Mizzima.

The submitted forms will be accepted only at Office 32 of the Managing Committee on the Properties Confiscated By State on September 1.

The State-run newspapers reported that 21 buildings in Yangon, a one-story building in Hlekuu Townshop, a fish pool in Maaupin Townshop, a one-story building in Pegu, five buildings in Mandalay, four buildings in Tarchilake, two buildings in Mawlamyine and the state-owned buildings in Minbuu, Taungdwingyi and Pyinoolwin will be sold.

“Anyone can compete in this auction but it is not meant for those who are not citizens since we favour citizens,” said a committee member.

They also announced on August 7 that 57 state-owned business ventures will be auctioned by the National Plan and Economic Development Ministry in Naypyidaw on September 22.
