Revolution Activities

  • Despite the junta’s claim of sufficient fuel oil in reserve for 40 days, the lower parts of Myanmar; Mon, Karen and Tanintharyi have reportedly nearly run out of fuel oil.
  • Women for Justice announced that women at the displaced camps in Chin State and Sagaing Region had been badly in need of menstrual pads and medications.
  • In Sagaing Region, the junta army opened fire on a passenger car on Monywa-Mandalay Road Section. Reportedly, a woman passenger lost her life.
  • In Shwebo Township and Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, strike committees and local people conducted public movements against the junta’s products and the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • The Support Team for Every Victory of Man-U provided support for the sniper campaign of the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) Column (3).
  • In Aunglan Township of Magway Region, the junta army has fired heavy weapons at villages daily. Reportedly, thousands of people from over 10 local villages have had to flee.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

  • During Hopang District Meeting on March 3, the United Wa State Army called to learn especially Myanmar and Wa literature in education in accordance with their stance of no separation from the nation.
  • A member of Chin Defence Force Zope lost his life in an attack on junta troops invading from Kalay Township of Sagaing Region to Falam of Chin State.
  • The commander of Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army Brigade (311) stated that the current situation is filled with challenges and risks, along with heavy responsibility of military exercise and preparations.
  • According to Karen National Union Mutraw District, there were 91 local battles in Hpapun District in February. Reportedly, 13 junta soldiers died. On the other hand, the military junta conducted airstrikes and fired artillery on local villages, killing a person.
  • In a report by the Arakan Army on Thursday, it was mentioned that the representation is still weak when it comes to the hardships of indigenous groups during the discussions at the United Nations and in the international community.

The Military Commission

  • In the local market, fuel oil prices have increased compared to those of the previous week; over 100MMK per liter of gasoline, 45MMK per diesel and 60MMK per premium diesel.
  • On Thursday evening, three Russian Navy vessels; corvettes Sovershennyy and Rezkiy, and medium-sized oil tanker Pechenga arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon.
  • To allocate positions and authority between Union Solidarity and Development Party and the junta army, the junta leader issued the amendments for the law on mayors for capital cities of states and regions, which had not existed before.
  • On Thursday afternoon, the second coordination meeting of the Hluttaw session organizing central committee took place. Reportedly, the junta’s Prime Minister Nyo Saw delivered a speech.
  • According to Myanmar Airways International, they are planning to resume temporarily suspending Dubai flights.
  • The junta’s Central Bank stated that 32 million USD would be sold to importers of fuel oil in the foreign currency market.
