The National Unity Government (NUG)
- On Thursday, Ministry of Defence-NUG stated that National Liberation Army had been reformed as the People’s Defence Force.
- Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that the deforestation, caused by the military junta and cronies with illegal logging for decades, is leading to land degradation of agriculture.
- In Chauk Township of Magway Region, there was an attack on a junta convoy on Union Road. Reportedly, 4 junta officers and 6 junta soldiers died.
- In Tatgone Township of Naypyitaw Union Territory, the junta-appointed administrator of Tandabin Village was caught dead.
- According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs-NUG, Nan Su Mon Aung, the NUG’s Representative to France, met with French Senator Mr. Pascal Allizard.
- In Minhla Township of Western Bago Region, there was a mine attack on junta troops on their way back from an invasion on March 24. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.
- The PDF (3802) based in Thayarwaddy District completed their basic military training.
Revolution Activities
- In the east of Kawlin Township in Sagaing Region, the junta army has targeted civilians in their bombings. Reportedly, 5 local people, including a pregnant woman, lost their lives.
- In Ngazun Township of Mandalay Region, revolution forces conducted a guerrilla attack on the junta soldiers on their way back after drinking alcohol in Myothar Town. Reportedly, 3 junta members died.
- In Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region, Local Strike Group has provided healthcare to the displaced people.
- Justice for Myanmar called on the Thai authorities to investigate a luxury property purchase by the family of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing in Bangkok, Thailand.
- According to Bamar Liberation Democratic Front, over 690 lakh MMK was received at the time in need for emergency funding due to battles on the ground in Pale Township of Sagaing Region.
- In Ayadaw Township of Sagaing Region, students’ unions distributed educational leaflets on aerial attacks.
- In Myaing Township of Magway Region, 2 junta soldiers and a conscripted soldier from Twinma Village under Pyusawti Militia brought 3 guns and defected to a guerrilla force.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
- In Mone Township of Bago Region, a monastery was hit with by the junta’s suicidal drones and the building was damaged, according to the Karen National Union.
- In Ye Township of Mon State, a combination of Mon-Tanintharyi revolution forces attacked the junta army invading the area. According to Mon State Revolution Force, a junta officer was seriously injured.
- Bamar People’s Liberation Army announced that they had awarded outstanding comrades who had fought together with the Arakan Army in Pyi District of Bago Region, honoured those who lost limbs with martyr titles, recorded the comrades who lost their lives as martyrs and sent certificates of honour along with financial support to their families.
The Military Commission
- The junta’s Labour Ministry announced that if Myanmar workers present wrongful documents to obtain the permit to go abroad and attempt to leave the country illegally by pretending to be those who return home on leave, action will be taken against them by revoking their permit to go overseas and including them in the blacklist.
- On Thursday, the third day of the first regular session of the junta’s third Hluttaw was conducted. U Aung Linn Dway, the Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw, stated that 4 standing committees of the Hluttaw had been formed.
- The junta’s Pyithu Hluttaw continued their 4th day on Thursday. Reportedly, the Hluttaw recorded the congratulatory statements by China, Russia and Belarus to the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw.
- The junta media announced that Walking Thingyan would be organized in priority nationwide for Thingyan and the people are not to enjoy the festival using floats or by going around in vehicles.
- The second junta leader Soe Win inspected the full-dress rehearsal of the junta’s columns ahead of the 81st Armed Forces Day.
- The junta’s Myanmar Railway will reportedly run more train services on the Yangon-Naypyitaw route.
