The National Unity Government (NUG)
-In Zigone Township of Bago Region, there was a local battle between the junta army and the People’s Defence Forces. According to the PDF Strategy (22), 8 junta soldiers died and some weapons were confiscated.
-According to Sagaing Federal Unit Hluttaw, they had a meeting via video conferencing with the Interim Government and the focal persons of humanitarian affairs in the Unit at 10:00 am Sunday.
-In the Southern Regional Command (2) under Ministry of Defence-NUG, the PDFs completed their basic military training (1/2026).
-According to Ministry of Social, Labour and Humanitarian Affairs-NUG, it is likely to rain in some states and regions due to Cyclonic Circulation from the east and the west.
Revolution Activities
-In Bago Region, Daw Tin Tin Nu, Chair of Women Committee of Gyobinkauk Township National League for Democracy Party, was shot dead by a gunman at her house.
-In Myaing Township of Magway Region, there was an attack on junta armed forces on their way out of Kanni Village for mobile patrol. Reportedly, 3 militia members died.
-In Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, a junta police sergeant, who had bullied those associated with the revolution and political prisoners, was detained by Dawei National Liberation Army. Reportedly, he was shot as he had attempted to run away and died.
-In the report on women in prisons by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, more than 2,100 women have lost their lives over the military coup period for five years.
-Federal Wings released photos that they were producing Hercules Series drones to crack down with the most efficiency on the enemy’s defense in battles to seize the junta’s camps.
-In Ayadaw Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted aerial bombings thrice on the vicinity of Min Ywar Gyi Village without any battles. Reportedly, 6 people lost their lives.
-In Minhla Township of Bago Region, Aung Kyaw Moe, the junta’s administrator who had called the junta army to arrest those who could not pay a monthly conscription fee, was shot dead.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
-In the southern part of Myawaddy Township on the Thai-Myanmar border, there has been ongoing military tension in the neighbourhood of Minletpan and Falu between the junta army and a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army.
-In the area under Karen National Union Brigade (4) in Tanintharyi Region, 453 members of the KNLA Strategic Forces completed their military training and they were equipped with arms on Saturday.
-In Hpapun District of Karen State, a combined force of the KNU attacked the junta’s Kawthwegyo Camp on March 17. Reportedly, the junta army had heavy losses and left the camp.
-In Mrauk-U of Rakhine State, U Maung Nge (alias) Maung Tin Nu, a school teacher who had allegedly attempted to rape 4 girl students, has been interrogated by Department of Law Enforcement and Public Security within the Arakan Army.
-After Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army had seized Kutkhine, they allegedly destroyed Kutkhine Nursing College led by CDM doctors.
-On Gaebar National Day, Karenni State Consultative Council sent a statement, calling to contribute, along with other ethnic people, to equality, self-determination and a federal democratic union.
The Military Commission
-On Sunday night, the military junta announced that the junta’s officials and staff were to work remotely from home or dormitories to reduce the use of fuel oil.
-The military junta announced that a system incorporating barcodes and QR codes will be implemented next week, allowing customers to buy fuel once or twice per week to ensure that fuel consumption within Myanmar does not face difficulties due to the ongoing armed conflict in the Middle East.
-The junta’s Pyithu Hluttaw Formed Bill Committee with 15 Members. Reportedly, Dr. Nanda Kyawswa was appointed to be the Chair and U Thein Tun Oo to be the Secretary.
-According to the propaganda media, eligible and capable citizens who will attend People’s Military Service Training 23 to perform national defence and security duties have arrived at the training schools within the areas of respective commands and have undertaken the necessary preliminary preparations. Reportedly, opening ceremonies for People’s Military Service Training Course No 23 were held at the various training schools on Monday morning.
-The cooking oil tanker MT TIRTASARI arrived to ensure sufficient domestic supply of cooking oil and to enable the timely distribution of essential raw materials needed for industrial production.
-The military junta announced that 5 more Chinese citizens had been arrested for their involvement in online frauds in Lechar Township of Southern Shan State.
-According to the junta’s Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, Phyu Chaung Reservoir has been supplying water to 18,000 acres of summer paddy fields on a daily basis.
