The National Unity Government (NUG)
U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chair of Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw, stated that holding the ninth meeting of Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (Union Parliament) was reconfirming the power granted by the public and protecting democracy.
-In Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, the revolution forces seized control of the junta’s Winwa Camp on No. (8) Union Road. Dawei People’s Defence Force stated that they would carry out similar battles with great momentum.
-The National Unity Consultative Council stated that they would fight until the emergence of a federal democratic union to protect public sovereignty and that they would gladly welcome such efforts.
-At the ninth meeting of Pyitaungsu Hluttaw on Monday, Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La called to shape the Parliament relevant to the revolution.
-Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun called to keep committed to the ultimate goal of the Spring Revolution; to end the military dictatorship and build a federal democratic nation, and to make an effort with one voice.
-The Interim Chin National Consultative Council sent a statement to the ninth meeting of Pyitaungsu Hluttaw, with objection to the junta’s fake Hluttaw (Parliament).
-In No. (2) Military Operation Region of the PDF under Ministry of Defence-NUG, Bago Regional Command successfully completed their basic military training (1/2026) in a liberated area.
Revolution Activities
-On Yangon-Mandalay Old Road, there was a mine attack on a junta convoy heading to Naypyidaw. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties.
-In Hsin Paung We Township of Magway Region, there was a local battle. According to United States of Burma Army, 2 junta soldiers died and 3 others were injured.
-The Spring Revolution Alliance asserted that the fighting between Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) has a significant impact on the ongoing Spring Revolution as a whole.
-According to Myanmar Defense & Security Institute, nearly 100,000 young people have been recruited by force for the junta army under the Conscription Law over the period of more than two years and most of them have been sent to frontline battlefields.
-In Ye Township of Mon State, Ye-Balu Force attacked the inspection gate of the junta’s Regiment A-Ma-Ta (316). Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died on the spot.
-Mr. Tom Andrews, special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar, nearly completes his 6-year term.
-In Taungthar Township of Mandalay Region, there was an attack on the junta troops mobilizing on Kyaukbadaung-Myingyan Road Section. According to People’s Liberation Army, 12 junta soldiers died.
-In Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, the junta army committed a massacre in Yedwingone Village. Regarding it, Kyaukgyi Township Karen Response Committee called on the international community to take effective action.
-In Taungoo of Bago Region, Brave Warriors for Myanmar conducted an attack via 107mm shells on the ammunition warehouses of the junta’s Sa-Na-Ka (848).
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
-In Northern Shan State, the members of the TNLA withdrew from Kutkhine on Monday morning and the MNDAA seized the town.
-The Karen National Union (Myeik-Dawei District) announced that Bo Saw L Kwi and his fellows under the Kawthoolei Army (KTLA) are regarded as a terrorist group due to their activities against the public and their involvement in the junta’s military strategies.
-In Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, the revolution forces seized the junta’s Winwa Camp in Mindat Village. Following it, they were after the junta soldiers who had fled. According to the KNU (Myeik-Dawei District), 7 junta soldiers died and 10 weapons were confiscated along with ammunition.
-Danu National Federal Council (DNFC) was established as the political leadership mechanism to implement a federal democratic union which guarantees national equality and self-determination, the aspiration of the Danu ethnic people.
The Military Commission
-U Maung Maung Ohn, the junta’s Minister of Information who had won in Naypyidaw Tatgone Township Constituency, was appointed to be the Deputy Speaker of the junta’s Pyithu Hluttaw in the session held on Monday. Reportedly, he had been proposed alone for the position without any rivals.
-U Khin Yi, the Chair of Union Solidarity and Development Party, was appointed to be Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw without any rivals on Monday.
-Myanmar Investment Commission stated that they had approved of 35 new investments worth 41.003 million USD, which could create over 5,000 job opportunities.
-According to the 2026 Union Tax Law, EVs must face an excise duty of 5% starting from April 1.
-The junta’s Minister for Energy stated that if CNG taxi drivers take advantage of rising gasoline and diesel prices to demand higher rental fees, the government will remove these vehicles from the CNG programme. He added that a metering system will soon be installed on CNG vehicles with distribution monitored using technology.
-The military junta announced that 69 illegal foreigners, who had been hiding in the forest near Metaw Thalay Village, were arrested in Myawaddy Township in Karen State on Sunday.
