The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Tontay People’s Defence Force stated that they would continue to fight and even sacrifice their lives to build a federal democratic union which can guarantee national equality and self-determination.
  • The NUG published the summary report on investigations regarding exchanges of complaints within the Union Prime Minister Office-NUG. Afterwards, 6 local CDM Staff Councils called off their strike.
  • On the 5th anniversary of MDY PDF (Special Mobile Division), they donated alms and shared food with displaced people in memory of the comrades who had lost their lives.
  • The NUG’s Representative Office in Japan stated that a hearing would be conducted at the Office of Japanese MPs regarding the real situation of Myanmar over the military coup period and the transformation to a true federal democratic union.
  • In Nattalin Township of Bago Region, there was an attack on junta troops invading Kansu Tarsone. According to Battalion (3801), 8 junta soldiers died whereas the junta army shot dead a PDF comrade Kyel Lay although they caught him alive.

Revolution Activities

  • In Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, there has been ongoing tension between the junta army and the revolution forces. Reportedly, local people from about 20 villages have had to flee due to the junta’s daily airstrikes.
  • Fortify Rights stated that all the organizations involved in the crisis of Myanmar, particularly the military junta, should immediately stop attacking civilian targets. They added that as food insecurity of the country is in a critical condition, armed forces should stop their attacks on farmers harvesting paddy fields.
  • Despite the junta’s propaganda claiming Moegoke was at peace, there has been fighting in the western part of the town almost daily.
  • In Kalay Township of Sagaing Region, Local Strike Committee carried out a protest against the military dictatorship.
  • According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), 51 people, including 8 children under the age of 18, lost their lives in Sagaing Region in the first two months of 2026 due to the military junta.
  • In Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, the junta armed forces invading the area killed 2 people, arrested one person and set fire to the people’s houses.
  • According to an investigation by Myanmar Witness, more planes of Let L410 made in the Czech Republic arrived in Myanmar against the sanctions by the European Union.
  • ITALIA-BIRMANIA.INSIEME called for extending the sanctions of the EU on Myanmar and more actions to stop the import of fuel oil from Russia and Iran.
  • In Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, there was a guerrilla attack on supporting troops sent to the junta’s Kyaukme Taung Camp. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died whereas 20 people were taken away by the junta army as human shields.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

  • In Ywar Ngan Township of Southern Shan State, no fewer than 10 junta soldiers, including officers, died and 7 weapons were confiscated in local battles, according to Danu PDF (1007).

The Military Commission

  • The junta’s Minister for Defence said that some cases were found in which those under and over the age of conscription had been recruited for military service.
  • According to sources on the ground, the junta army has arrived at Kyar Nyut Village, just 20 miles away from Dagaung, the last town under the control of the NUG forces in Mandalay Region.
  • The military junta claimed that they had arrested 156 foreigners involved in Kyar Phyant online scams and frauds near Myitta Linn Myein Village in Myawaddy Township of Karen State.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with the General Director of Roscosmos, Russia’s State Space Corporation in Naypyidaw on Thursday. Reportedly, they discussed how to promote bilateral cooperation in space technology.
  • In front of Myitkyina Airport, some people in masks protested against a recent suicidal drone attack on the airport.
  • At the opening ceremony of space painting, cartoons and a poster competition held in People’s Park of Yangon, the junta’s Chief Minister said that the number of visitors is rising to observe applied space technology and so it is in the public interest.
  • The junta’s Deputy Minister for Information said that copyright infringement has been increasing in various forms along with illegal distribution and it will hinder more work of high-quality creativity if the infringement cannot be prohibited effectively.
