The National Unity Government (NUG)
- In Indaw Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing on the office of the People’s Defence Force-NUG in Manhe Village of Mawlu Area. Reportedly, 5 comrades lost their lives.
- In No. (2) Regional Command of the NUG, Bago District Force (2) has been recruiting and selecting new members.
- In Mon State, 3 soldiers from the junta’s Ka-Ma-Ya (588) near Mawkanin Village brought weapons and defected to Yay Guerrilla Force (8001).
- On Wednesday, Ministry of Defence-NUG stated that the military junta had carried out nearly 9,000 airstrikes in 2025, killing around 2,500 people.
- Sinple Rangers Force based in Monywa District joined the alliance of Rocket Fighter PDF and Nyaung-U District Force (3).
Revolution Activities
- In Salin Township of Magway Region, the junta army has carried out attacks via drone and heavy weapons on villages. Reportedly, a one-year-old baby and an elderly person lost their lives while no fewer than 15 others were injured.
- According to Rangoon Scout Network, the military junta arbitrarily arrested 2,035 people in Yangon from January to December 2025.
- In Falam Township of Chin State, there might be heavier fighting as the military junta has been strengthening their forces in the area.
- In January, there have been no fewer than 5 cases of dispute between Myanmar people in Thailand and Thai nationals. Consequently, the Myanmar community there have been concerned and Myanmar activists have called on Myanmar citizens to comply with the law.
- According to Free Malaysia Today, the Malaysian government has conducted the DPP (Dokumen Pendaftaran Pelarian), a registration initiative, for Rohingya refugees detained in 16 immigration prisons all over the country since January 1.
- In Sagaing Region, there was an attack on the junta’s Monyway Tanpo Gate on Monywa-Mandalay Road. Reportedly, there were casualties in the incident.
- In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, strike committees and local people protested against the junta’s products and the junta’s sham election.
- In Minbu Township and Upper Minhla Township of Magway Region, United States of Burma Army educated the public in local villages not to sell or use the junta’s products anymore.
- In Tilin of Magway Region, a junta soldier conscripted by force brought a gun and defected to Yaw Revolution Army.
- In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, a local rally of Daung Thway Ni protested against the junta’s sham election.
- In Monywa Township of Sagaing Region, there was an attack using a variety of mines on a junta troop on Monywa-ChaungU Road. Reportedly, a junta soldier died.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
- Bo Da Baw, the commander of Cobra Column, handed over to Thai authorities one of Myanmar nationals, who had shot at a Thai police officer in Mae Sot on the Thailand-Myanmar border and got away.
- In Taungoo District under Karen National Union Brigade (2), the junta army carried out aerial assaults. Reportedly, there were casualties among the civilians.
- In Nyaunglebin District under the control of the KNU Brigade (3), 7 conscripted soldiers from the junta’s Ka-La-Ya (53) defected to Karen National Liberation Army (3).
- In Southern Shan State, the comrades from SSNDF/KNDF (101), both men and women, were assigned tasks.
The Military Commission
- In the eastern part of Bago Region with local battles, the military junta has conducted their election earlier and forced local people to vote in advance.
- The military junta issued a public notification and requested the people showing their support for the Agent of Myanmar team at the ICJ hearings. Reportedly, all supporters are urged both on social media and those organizing rallies in various towns and villages to strictly observe and adhere to absolutely refrain from writing or speaking in a manner that criticizes, slanders, or appears to pressure the International Court of Justice (ICJ) or its judges. Do not use racially discriminatory language in speeches, social media posts, or on handheld placards. When referring to groups not recognized as indigenous ethnic race of the country, do not use that name in a way that constitutes Hate Speech.
- On behalf of the junta leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Zeya Kyaw Htin Sithu Tun Aung attended the graduation ceremony of the 87th intake of the pilot course of the Air Force and presented wings to the graduated pilots.
- Myanmar hosted the Ninth Myanmar–India Joint Trade Committee Meeting. Reportedly, they discussed to promote investments in economic and health sectors between the two countries.
- The junta-proxy Union Solidarity and Development Party signed agreements with Belaya Rus party from Belarus.
- The junta’s Minister for Energy stated that Thanbayakan Oil Refinery Project is being implemented with the cooperation of state-owned energy organizations from China to fulfill the local gasoline consumption.
- U Myint Kyaing, the junta’s Minister for Immigration and a candidate of the USDP for Amyotha Hluttaw in Ayeyarwady Region, said that a 100-day project would be implemented for significant development of local needs.
