Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Korean culture fair opens in Rangoon

A week-long South Korean cultural festival kicked off in Rangoon on Thursday, November 8.

“Korea Week” will run through till November 14 and feature a Korean film festival, K-Pop shows, a beauty pageant, a concert and a taekwondo exhibition among other activities.

Several South Korean businesses will be represented, and the South Korean embassy announced it will be offering scholarships to Burmese pre-university students to study Korean language at universities in South Korea.
