Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Private football training academy opens in Rangoon

Burma’s first-ever private football academy will be opened by the Super Star Professional Football Academy in Rangoon.

The academy is expected to become a training ground for footballers in the future, the state-run daily New Light of Myanmar said on Monday.

The foreign coaches from the academy will give intensive training to would-be professionals, teaching football techniques and tactics.

The academy will also provide a potential access to professional football clubs, the article said.
