Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Miss Burma competition to be held in March

(Mizzima) – A Miss Burma 2012 competition will be held in Rangoon, in an effort to promote the tourism industry, the Xinhua news agency reported on Tuesday.

The news group quoted an event organizer who said the Myanmar Travel Board (MTB) is putting together the event to be held on March 25, featuring dance shows, well-known singers, comedians and other activities.

Contestants must be between age 18 and 25, have good talent, a general knowledge of the tourism industry and speak some English.

The winner will be a “tourism ambassador” and will have a chance to attend international travel and trade shows, said Xinhua.
