Revolution Activities

  • In Myingyan, Taungthar and Natoegyi of Mandalay Region, it is difficult to get fuel oil. Reportedly, it costs up to 8,000MMK per litre in nearby villages.
  • In Kathar of upper Sagaing, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing via fighter jet on a local monastery where the displaced have been staying on Friday morning. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among monks and displaced persons.
  • Sidharto R. Suryodipuro, Chair of the UNHRC, proposed Mrs. Kelley Anne Eckels-Currie, a US citizen and an activist for Myanmar’s affairs, to be Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar.
  • In Tanintharyi Region, there was an attack at a junta convoy of 7 cars on Myeik-Tanintharyi Road Section. According to People’s Liberation Army, 2 vehicles were damaged with some fatalities.
  • The 21CM earned over 700,000 Baht from the sale of 21ST Century Martyrs (1,200 pairs of limited edition sunglasses). Reportedly, it will be used for 65 martyrs who have been awaiting prosthetic legs.
  • According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), 17 people, including 3 women, lost their lives in Chin State due to the junta army in 2026.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

  • In Northern Shan State, Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army seized Kutkhine from the Ta’ang National Liberation Army. Reportedly, the MNDAA told local residents not to use the Ta’ang National Flag and literature.
  • According to the spokesperson of TNLA, they agreed to a ceasefire with MNDAA.
  • In Yebyu Township of Tanintharyi Region, the junta army fired 120mm grenades at Yahu Village. According to Karen National Union Brigade (4), 2 people lost their lives.
  • CDF Hakha released a video of a suicidal drone attack on the junta’s meeting hall in Hakha of Chin State.
  • As so-called Yan Naing Min Operation, the junta’s troops and convoys have been invading Karenni State from Southern Shan State. According to Karenni Nationalities Defence Force, the junta soldiers faced local battles and had heavy losses.

The Military Commission

  • The junta propaganda media claimed that a member of the Arakan Army and 21 members of the People’s Defence Forces gave up arms to the military junta.
  • For 2026 Thingyan Festival, Walking Thingyan pandals are being set up on Pan Chan street near Maha Bandula Park in Yangon.
  • The junta’s Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture said that some historic images remain hidden in Myanmar’s history due to the destruction of natural disasters and the locations with poor capacity for preservation.
  • The military junta announced that 85 Chinese nationals, involved in online fraud, had been arrested along with equipment in Muse Township of Northern Shan State.
  • The Patron of Pyitaungsu Hluttaw Aung Linn Dway said that the MPs are to discuss and negotiate with mutual respect for the interest of the nation and the public, without attachment to individuals or party.
  • The junta’s Central Bank sold 96 million USD to fuel importers in March.
  • The junta’s Myanmar Rice Federation announced that paddy businesses are not to procure or stockpile fuel oil and chemical fertilizers more than necessary.
  • The junta’s Trade Department announced that it is necessary to obtain official import license and pay tax for the import of mobile phone and mobile network devices.
