The National Unity Government (NUG)

-U Nay Phone Latt stated that People’s Defence Forces and alliances of ethnic armed forces have been fighting the military junta in various battlefields and that they have been systematically extending their areas of influence.

-U Nay Phone Latt stated that revolutionary forces have been able to control (37) townships fully and surround (41) townships all over the country.

-The spokesperson of Union Prime Minister Office-NUG U Nay Phone Latt stated that over 5,000 people lost their lives due to the junta’s massacres and over 12,000 buildings including schools, hospitals and religious institutions were damaged during the five-year period of the Spring Revolution.

-In Chauk Township of Magway Region, the PDF supported food and other relief items to fire victims.

-The Federal Health Policy Development Seminar (FHPDS) was conducted for two days and an important step began for a future federal health system.

-In Waw Township of Bago Region, there were attacks via heavy weapons on the junta’s station  and the house of local Pyusawti leader, according to Bago District People’s Defence Organization.

Revolution Activities

-In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, Colonel Zar Ni Aung, the commander of the junta troop, died and 6 junta soldiers surrendered in local battles.

-According to Chin Human Rights Organization, the government of Timor-Leste accepted the legal complaint against the Myanmar military junta for their war crimes and crimes against humanity.

-In Karenni State, the CDM staff released a statement, calling for a single government and a single defence force for Karenni State.

-In Kani Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army carried out an aerial bombing via gyrocopters on Mutaw Village on Tuesday noon. Reportedly, people’s houses were damaged and domesticated animals died.

-In Sagaing Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army on their way to demand money from the public on Mandalay-Monywa-Shwebo Road and Sagaing District Crossroads. Reportedly, there were casualties among the junta soldiers.

-In Thayet Prison of Magway Region, there was a silent strike against the military dictatorship on the fifth year of the coup.

-In western Taze Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted an airstrike via a fighter jet on Kawtat Village at 3:35 pm Monday.

-In Gantgaw Township of Magway Region, the junta army carried out an aerial bombing near Sanmyo Village without any local battles.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

-The Arakan Army (AA) presented certificates of graduation to the graduate students from the Islamic Religious University in Mrauk-U District of Rakhine State.

-The Ta’ang National Liberation Army stated that the collection would not be made for reserve militias in 2026. However, there are cases of collection on the ground, according to local people.

The Military Commission

-Brigadier General Tun Tun Naung, the junta’s former Minister for Home Affairs, was investigated for allegedly taking bribes from Kyar Phyant online scams.

-The junta’s second Commander of the Mid-Regional Command and the Commander of Regiment (99) were arrested.

-According to the junta’s Ministry of Energy, the sample of ordinary diesel from a tanker, which arrived at Apex Terminal in Thilawa Port on January 26, was tested at a lab and found out that it was substandard. Reportedly, the tanker was not allowed to unload and sent back to their country of origin.

-The junta’s Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein claimed that the curriculum of Grade 12 would be redrawn in the upcoming academic year.

-According to the junta propaganda media, 18 male members and 6 female members of Karenni Nationalities Defence Force, Inle PDF, Southern Shan State PDF and Danu People’s Liberation Army returned to the legal fold, along with weapons, saying that they believe the peace process of the State and the Tatmadaw.

-The junta’s Minister for Defense, General Maung Maung Aye, received Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.

-The junta’s National Security Adviser and Union Minister for the Ministry 1 of the President’s Office U Tin Aung San received the Russian delegation led by Russian Security Council Secretary.
