-In the western part of Bago Region, junta troops had to retreat in chaos due to an attack by the People’s Defence Forces on Paukkaung-Oattwin Road Section. Reportedly, they faced another attack on the way back, according to Pyi District Regiment (2).
-In the press conference on Sunday, the National Unity Consultative Council stated that the revolution would win only when those leading it stand by charters and join hands without fail.
-In Pauk Township of Magway Region, there was a guerrilla attack on junta troops invading the area. Reportedly, a junta soldier died and many others were injured, according to Pakkoku District Force (12).
Revolution Activities
-In Hpakant with fighting in Kachin State, there was a public protest against the 5th year of the military coup led by Min Aung Hlaing and against the Myitsone Dam Project on Sunday.
-In Sagaing Region, the women inmates in Mawlight Prison expressed their desire for prisoners’ rights on the 5th year of the military coup on Sunday.
-In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing on the farmland area near Moekaung Village. Reportedly, people’s houses and domesticated animals were hit.
-On February 1, the UK Embassy in Myanmar, the European Union and the Australian Embassy in Myanmar stated that the junta’s election was neither free nor fair.
-In France, Myanmar people and supporters of Myanmar carried out public protests in Paris and Marseille.
-In their report “Looking Back on 2025”, the Women’s League of Burma called to combat impunity for violence against girls and women.
-On the fifth year of the military coup on Sunday, Kim Aris (alias) Ko Htein Linn called for the release of political prisoners detained since the coup, including his mother State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
-The comrades from the People’s Strike Force conducted a campaign on the fifth year of the Spring Revolution in which numerous people have lost their lives.
-To show that they still stand with the revolutionary organizations, some Yangon residents conducted protests.
-In Japan, there was a march on the fifth year of the Spring Revolution on Sunday.
-In Taiwan, Taiwan Alliance for Myanmar carried out a demonstration on the fifth year of Myanmar military coup. They also called on Taiwan government to provide practical assistance to Myanmar asylum seekers.
-Twenty-three alliance forces stated that revolution forces should collectively build alliance relations based on unity to effectively respond to the junta’s ongoing oppression and their new fake political steps. They added that they must also build an alliance of forces based on the common goal of fighting the military dictatorship.
-In Sagaing Region, a combined rally protested against the military dictatorship, holding anti-junta signs, on the fifth year of the coup.
-In Monywa, a local strike committee conducted a protest against the military dictatorship, near Maha Bawdi Tataung Standing Pagoda, where the junta army has been stationing.
-In Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, the junta armed forces have been invading local villages. Reportedly, they set ablaze nearly 400 people’s houses.
-According to Justice Network for Political Prisoners (JNPP), 2 political prisoners in Sittway Prison of Rakhine State lost their lives as a result of lack of access to medical treatment.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
-In the areas under the control of the Arakan Army, Islamic religious celebrations and events have been held. Reportedly, the ULA/AA has also allowed Islamic religious schools to open.
The Military Commission
-On Saturday, the military junta called on those who have joined Civil Disobedience Movement to re-contact them at nearby departments and stations.
-The military junta announced that 233 Chinese nationals had been arrested for operating online scams in Kunhai Township of Southern Shan State, along with computers and Starlink Wi-Fi equipment.
-According to the Ministry of Electricity, they have been able to supply fulltime power as much as possible due to the additional production of 500MW from LNG power station since January 14, 2026.
-Nationalists and religious extremists welcomed the Myanmar delegation at the airport on the way back after the hearing at the International Court of Justice.
-On Saturday, Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Promotion Organization was established to gain progress in those sectors between the two countries.
-The junta’s Minister for Electricity said that a specific rate for power to industries and businesses would be fixed in Yangon Region.
-The junta’s Minister for Construction inspected the repair and reconstruction work of bridges along Mandalay-PyinOoLwin-Lashio Road.
