The National Unity Government (NUG)
- In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted aerial bombings on the school and near the clinic in Nyaungbingyisu Village. According to the People’s Defence Force, 3 people lost their lives and 4 others were injured.
- Deputy Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG stated that the members of Burma National Revolutionary Army (BNRA) had carried out violence against the public since 2022 and there had also been complaints of violence against those under the administrative mechanism of the NUG in 2023.
- In Salin Township of Magway Region, over 100 displaced people in 4 villages have had to receive medical treatment for skin problem. Reportedly, they have been in need of medications and personal hygiene products, according to the People’s Administration Team.
- Battalion (902) of Naypyidaw Regional Command stated that they had seized a drone which had been shot down during the junta’s invasion.
- Under the Ministry of Education-NUG, Yezagyo Township Education Board of Magway Interim Education conducted a parents-teachers meeting at Yezagyo Federal High School on Tuesday.
- Rangoon Warriors PDF under the NUG’s Special Command had a friendly meeting with the commanders of Bamar People’s Liberation Army.
Revolution Activities
- Athan (Voice) pointed out that there had been several shortcomings related to freedom of expression despite the adoption of Federal Democratic Charter by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) as well as the Interim Governing and Legal Frameworks in Karenni, Mandalay and Sagaing over the period of the Spring Revolution.
- In the south of Yezagyo Township in Magway Region, the junta army invading the area set fire to Thamantapo Village. Reportedly, 34 houses were burnt to ashes.
- In Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, the PDFs attacked the junta armed forces stationing at Government Technological College and near Phayarme Inspection Gate on Monday morning. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among the junta soldiers and weapons were confiscated.
- According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, 21 people, including 11 women, lost their lives in Rakhine State in 2026 due to the junta army.
- In Monywa Township of Sagaing Region, there was a drone attack on the junta troops demanding money and finding mines on Monywa-ChaungU Road.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
- The Arakan Army transferred back 73 Bangladeshi fishery workers, who had been detained for illegal fishing in Myanmar’s water territory, to the Border Guard Force of Bangladesh.
- In Hpapun District under Karen National Union Brigade (5), there were 57 battles between the junta army and Karen National Liberation Army in February. Reportedly, 6 junta soldiers died.
- Pa-O National Defence Force released a statement of welcome on the 17th Taungyoe National Day, which falls on February 18 2026.
- Chinland Defence Force Hakha released a statement, calling not to go to the event of Chin National Day held by the military junta and for individuals and organizations not to cooperate.
- In Nyaunglebin District of Bago Region, the junta army conducted airstrikes and fired heavy weapons. The KNU (Central) stated that a person had been injured and houses, including a school, had been damaged.
The Military Commission
- On Wednesday afternoon, the junta’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Minister of Thailand conducted a Ministers’ Retreat in Phuket, Thailand.
- On Tuesday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing signed the Law Amending the Law Relating to Private Health Care Services (2026), including the section for private nursing aid training not to teach politics.
- On Wednesday, opening ceremonies for the People’s Military Service Training Batch No. 22 were held at respective training schools within the relevant Regional Command areas.
- In Magway, the junta’s Regional Government held the 78th Chin National Day at the City Hall.
- According to Article (31) of the Law Amending the Law Relating to Private Health Care Services, prison sentence ranges from 1 to 5 years, along will a fine, for license-less practice of private surgery.
- According to the junta’s Ministry of Energy, there will be power supply to the public during summer upon implementation of the LNG power station projects in Thaketa and Thanlyin.
