-A delegation of representatives from the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw attended a Parliamentary Hearing named “Better together, delivering for the people” held at the United Nations in New York on February 12 and 13. Reportedly, they gave a presentation about the Myanmar crisis.
-Daw Mya Myo Aye, a member of the CRPH, stated that over 16 million people in Myanmar have been in need of humanitarian assistance and over 4 million people have been displaced on the 5th year following the military coup.
-Under Ministry of Defence-NUG, a team from Magway Regional People’s Defence Force met with a PDF column in Gantgaw District.
-In Mindone Township of Magway Region, there was an attack on a convoy of the junta’s Pyusawti Militia on their way for security of a junta police officer on transfer. According to Kamma Township PDF, a junta member died.
-Kantbalu District PDF (1820) in Sagaing Region has conducted a campaign named Thunder Strike for 3,000 Lakh MMK to upgrade drone manufacturing technology.
-Dawna Column of the Special Regional PDF (9902) has been recruiting new members.
Revolution Activities
-In Myawaddy Township with heavy fighting, residents of Falu and Minletpan Village have had to flee. Reportedly, they are in need of assistance.
-The funeral of Dr. Sein Win, an experienced politician and former Prime Minister of National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma (NCGUB), will be conducted on February 28 in Maryland, USA.
-In Hopone Township of Southern Shan State, local farmers protested against the junta’s attempt to remove those living and working on the farmland of their family’s inheritance under the accusation they are squatters.
-In an interview with the Vatican, Cardinal Charles Maung Bo of Myanmar stated that Myanmar has been faced with social, economic, health and education hardships throughout the five year period of the military coup and the uncertainty of young people has been at its worst.
-In the northeast of Wetlet Township in Sagaing Region, the junta army has conducted drone attacks using flammable bombs. Reportedly, public’s houses have been set on fire.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
-On Sunday, (11) Shan ethnic organizations released another statement, calling on the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army to free detained Shan ethnic residents of Lashio Township in Northern Shan State.
-In Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region, the junta army strengthening their forces in Theinkun Village set fire to Lethe, a local village. According to Karen National Union Myeik-Dawei District, over 100 public’s houses were burnt down.
-In Maukme Township under Pa-O Self-administered Area in Southern Shan State, over 200 soldiers including children from Pa-O National Organization (PNO) died in Punchaung Battle as the junta army put child soldiers on drug and made them fight in the frontline, according to Pa-O National Liberation Army.
The Military Commission
-At the Chinese New Year Festival, the second junta leader Soe Win said that Myanmar presents promising opportunities that could serve as an outlet to the Indian Ocean for China, and Myanmar is geographically situated at a strategic hub where South Asia, Southeast Asia, and China meet, sharing borders with the world’s most populous nations: China, Bangladesh, and India. He added that Myanmar values China’s peaceful development and mutually beneficial cooperation.
-The military junta announced that another 5 Chinese nationals, involved in telecom frauds, had been identified and detained.
-The junta’s Ministry of Construction called on the public to use Yangon-Dala Bridge in compliance with the rules and regulations.
-The junta’s Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development said that they, in cooperation with Ministry of Industry, had been working on capital, technologies, marketing and earth sample assessment for families to generate income through producing brick roofs.
-In Insein Township of Yangon Region, the junta’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture inspected the construction site of the Myanmar Art Center (Yangon), an international-standard art center.
-In the 2026 Chinese New Year Festival, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar stated that China’s investments in Myanmar had increased by 230%, bringing significant benefits for the people from both countries.
