The Chin Defense Force-Hakha (Central Council) released an extensive blacklist on 15 January, 2026, naming 484 high-ranking military officials, civil servants, and private companies allegedly involved in a corruption scheme totaling over 83 billion Kyats. The list targets figures within the junta-led administration, including the Chief Minister of Chin State, regional ministers, deputy commanders, and tactical officers, who are accused of embezzling public funds through fraudulent tender projects between 2021 and 2025.
“We investigated whether these projects were actually implemented on the ground by comparing them with departmental records. Since listing all departments and projects would span many pages, we have only disclosed the amounts of money withdrawn. We hold the detailed records,” Salai Hram Lian, Chairman of the CDF-Hakha Central Council, told Mizzima.
These tender projects reportedly involve the construction of roads, bridges, drains, and buildings.
According to departmental records, the work was not actually performed on the ground; instead, those involved allegedly used their authority to withdraw funds fraudulently by creating fake evidence and photos.
The Central Council Chairman further explained that while they had previously taken quiet action against the corruption of these non-CDM staff, they decided to go public due to criticism. The release aims to inform the public and ensure that Military Commission officials, who are unable to conduct field inspections, are aware of the corruption.
The statement declared that starting 15 January, they will specifically target and take action against organizations and individuals who have exploited their power to steal public funds between 2021 and 2025 following the military coup.
It further stated that if those listed do not come forward to settle the matter within 15 days, all their assets within Hakha Township will be considered seized as public property. Additionally, they will be banned from doing business, residing in, or traveling within the township.
The blacklist spans 17 pages and includes the names of companies and individuals along with the amounts they withdrew. Notable names include Golden Rone Taung (established by a deputy regional commander), May Rone (under the name of Tactical Commander Wai Lin Soe), Pipping Pro & Neighbourhood, Zo Tui Development Co. Ltd, Zoland Rose, Powever Chin Star, and Royal Chin Co., Ltd.
CDF-Hakha stated that while they have enacted laws for four major revolutionary crimes in Hakha Township to block the military group’s administrative, developmental, and social operations, they have not yet been able to take 100 per cent action against all perpetrators due to the overall situation of the revolution.
However, as a Spring Revolution organization based in Hakha, they emphasized that they are consistently working to obstruct the Military Commission’s entire state machinery, including political and administrative sectors, in addition to military efforts.
