Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Burma, Singapore to strengthen military cooperation

High-ranking military officers from Burma and Singapore on Monday discussed plans to strengthen mutual cooperation, including infrastructural development, training, and the exchange of visits of warships, Burma’s state media have reported.

The officers holding talks at the Ministry of Defense in Singapore included Burma’s Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Vice- Snr Gen Min Aung Hlaing who was hosted by Singapore’s Lt-Gen Neo Kian Hong, the New Light of Myanmar said on Monday.

The Singaporean delegation also reported on its steps to upgrade the country’s Defense Forces and implement regional security, the New Light of Myanmar said.
