Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

UN’s Nambiar concludes visit to Rakhine State

The Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Myanmar, Vijay Nambiar, concluded a four-day visit to Burma on December 20 during which time he attended a meeting of the Myanmar Peace Donor Support Group and accompanied Burma’s Minister for Immigration and Population Affairs Khin Yi on a visit to Rakhine State.

“This visit helped the Special Adviser see the current conditions of the internally displaced persons from both communities in the area as well as to participate in the discussions which the Minister was holding with the representatives of the two communities, together and separately,” said a UN statement.
