Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Free funeral service expands operations

New Delhi (Mizzima) - The Free Funeral Service Society (FFSS) in Rangoon, run by popular actor Kyaw Thu, will soon be able to use an additional vehicle in the provision of services.

Kyaw Thu said the FFSS received a donation of an old Chevrolet Bus from Hong Tum and Daw Khin Myint Yee of Taunggyi in Shan State and that the vehicle will be used to transport relatives during funeral proceedings.

“The bus is currently under repair and will be made available for use by April 17th,” Kyaw Thu said.

He added that currently the FFSS has 17 vehicles servicing 40 to 50 clients per day.
