Mizzima awarded global JTI certificate for reliable news on Myanmar

Building collapses in Rangoon, one killed

Rangoon (Mizzima) - A three-storied building collapsed on March 14 evening between Street 30 and Trader Street in Babaedan Township, Rangoon, killing one person. The residents were warned by the civic authorities not to stay any longer as the building was very old.

A 16-year old girl who lives in the ground floor of the building died and a number of rescue workers were injured after some more portions of the building collapsed while they were into rescue work.
