Authorities will allow companies to build fishing net factories in areas with developed fishing business, according to the notification No. 1/2013 released by the Myanmar Investment Commission.

Businesses will need to build clean and modern “fish unloading ports” and fish auction markets in accordance with the procedures and standards set by the Fisheries Department, the notification said.

Moreover, fisheries laboratories will need to have ISO 17025 for examining water and fisheries products, the notification said.
