pttimah-logoIndonesian tin mining company PT Timah says it will establish two subsidiaries to support its operations in Myanmar, according to a report on Saturday in the Jakarta Post.
PT Timah president director Sukrisno is reported as saying that one subsidiary will operate the firm’s tin mine in Tanithary [Tenasserim] province while the other will market its Myanmar-produced tin.
“We expect the two new business units, which will be fully owned by Timah, to begin operations in 2014,” Sukrisno reportedly said.
The Indonesian firm’s president said he expected exploration to start in June, and is currently processing its permits with the Myanmar authorities.
